Western Short Story. The final book in The Morgan's Brides Series.
Annie Gainer agreed to marry J.T. Morgan sight unseen. His mother, Sissy Morgan, assured her that J.T. was a good man and would treat her right. Annie hoped she done the right thing, but she had no choice. Being an orphan, she was too old to stay at the orphanage any longer and didn't have any other options. When she first laid eyes on J.T. Morgan, he seemed bigger than life, just like his mother said he was and Annie found him intimidating to say the least. Yet, she hoped for the best and that their marriage would work out and he'd learn to love her.
Jacob Taylor Morgan had always wanted a mail order bride and when his ma asked him to marry Annie Gainer from the orphanage, he agreed without hesitation. Annie was a wee slip of a woman and pretty as a picture with her doe like eyes. He just didn't like the fact that Annie wanted him to move back home or that his mother showed up at the wedding with a boy from the orphanage. Not only did he get a mail order bride, but a ready made family, but he vowed he wasn't going back to the ranch for Christmas. Little did he know that he would have to defend his new family from an outlaw that could destroy their lives.

J. T.’s mother had picked out a bride for him, from among the young ladies at the orphanage she volunteers at, and he was looking forward to starting a life of his own with his new bride, away from the family ranch and the hustle and bustle of his large family, but Annie shows up for the wedding with a young boy in tow, and J. T. realizes he won’t be getting the quiet life he imagined now that he has a ready-made family, but dangers threatening from Annie’s past make him realize what’s important. Sweet historical western romance. I would have liked to see a bit more development of the relationship between J. T. and Annie, but this was a very short story. I really loved the great story in this book. I could not put it down till I finished reading the whole story.

Enjoyed the story, but it was much to short. Could picture yourself there. Need to have full length books available on .
Once again Cia Leah has given us a great story!
This book was very short so the story happened very quickly. It is kinda hard to believe two people can marry and be so loving with each other so quickly, but all in all the book was entertaining.
I liked it okay but I thought the ages weren't in sync with the book when J.T.'s mom married his dad. I have that same problem in some other books not just the Cia Leah stories. I still like to read her work.
Another great story by ms.Leah. I have enjoyed reading other stories by her and I look forward to reading more.
A good example of how much is required of a woman,
when she is left to make her own way. Cia Leah does
these stories so well, and involves characteristics that
make the frontier problems so real. It keeps you on
your toes wondering what will happen next.
